Mencke & Tegtmeyer Founded in 1993 as a GbR, renamed a GmbH in 2008, we work on improving and increasing the quality of PV systems through our various in-house developments in the field of measuring devices for solar technology.
Our robust and highly precisely calibrated silicon solar radiation sensors are used worldwide by leading manufacturers of PV monitoring systems and inverters. These sensors are supplemented by our temperature sensors for measuring the module and ambient temperature. But also high-quality third-party products such as pyrometers, wind sensors and combined climate sensors are used by us in our own data acquisition systems or offered as a supplier. For the performance measurement of PV modules, we offer different calibrated PV characteristic curve measuring devices, which are used for measurements under natural sunlight as well as under sun simulators, which we offer as flash or continuous light systems for different areas of application.
Our services not only include advice on the combination of ideal sensors, transmitters and data loggers, but also independent planning services for the construction of PV systems.

The silicon solar radiation sensor (Si sensor) offers an inexpensive, yet robust and reliable solution for measuring solar irradiance, especially for monitoring photovoltaic (PV) systems. Due to the structure of the sensor element, this corresponds to that of PV modules; these sensors are ideally suited as reference for monitoring PV systems to determine the solar irradiation.
- Silicon solar radiation sensor for measuring the irradiance (Si sensor)
In particular, the spectral sensitivity corresponding to the PV modules as well as the very similar inclination error (Incident Angle Modifier) enable an exact analysis of PV yields with the help of the sensor readings.
The measurement uncertainty of the Si sensors with temperature compensation is 5 W / qm ± 2.5% of the measured value (determination according to GUM with k = 2, for spectrum AM 1.5 and vertical incidence of light).
All Si sensors have uniform measuring ranges for the solar irradiance from 0 to 1,500 W / m² and for the internal temperature of the sensor cell from -40 to + 90 ° C.

Our precise Si sensor is the best choice, especially for applications that require increased accuracy in determining the irradiance (large-scale systems, PR guarantee, R&D).
The sensor can be supplied with an ISFH standard calibration or an ISFH precision calibration, each with a DAkkS certificate.

- Equipment sensors for wind speed, module and ambient temperature
Our Si-Sensor Si-RS485TC-2T-v can be expanded with external sensors. The external sensors are connected to the Si sensor via waterproof connectors. The measured values are output via the RS485 interface without further programming. The Vwind-Si sensor for measuring the wind speed and an external temperature sensor can be connected. The Tmodul-Si for the module temperature and the Tamb-Si for the ambient temperature are available as temperature sensors.
Please note that only one temperature sensor can be connected.
