Introducing b maXX 6300 Dual axis single axis module
The maXX 6300 b-axle unit allows peak currents up to 420 A and significantly higher nominal currents up to 180 A.
The B maXX 6300 is even more versatile and compact than the current B maXX 5300 . It has additional safety functions and extended software, PLC and IoT functions. These improve OEE (overall equipment efficiency) and therefore improve machine availability and productivity.
The maXX 6300 b-series converters include input and regenerative feedback units as well as shaft units, which can be quickly and easily combined using the integrated drive connection system.
This allows machine builders to benefit from low installation costs and short operating and maintenance times.
The controller impresses with its high power density and very small installation space.
b maXX 6000 devices are maximally scalable thanks to a wide range of hardware and software options and can therefore be even better adapted to application requirements.
Various encoders, hardware, and safety options are available to choose from. For example, in the case of encoders, you can choose between resolvers, optical and pure digital encoders for all standard interfaces.
For hardware, signal buses, service options, digital and analog I/O, and brake connections can be selected, among others.
Regarding safety, there are many different variations, from simple hardware-controlled STO (Safe Torque Off) to higher safety functions enabled via FSoE (FailSafe over EtherCAT), all complying with the highest level of safety.
Thanks to this expandability, a large number of configuration levels are available, from basic equipment to full specifications. Machine manufacturers can therefore match controllers and power module devices to exactly match their applications.

New safety functions have been developed specifically for applications with high demands on dynamics and precision. The safety module is integrated directly into the device on the new servo controller.

Therefore, safety-related cryptographic signals can be evaluated at higher resolution. This again greatly improves position and speed accuracy. For example, if a simple resolver is used in the application, the speed resolution with the new generation of transducers for safety monitoring will be less than 1 rpm. This means the application can also achieve high performance when combined with powerful encryption technology, helping to reduce the overall cost of the machine.
The new servo controller's safety functions also set new standards for its ability to respond to safety-related events. For example, when STO is activated, the servo drive will be switched to torque-free mode with a delay time of less than 1 ms.
This fast response time can increase machine speed and thus increase overall productivity.
Users also benefit from the new SP (secure position) safety function for secure position transmission via the FSoE protocol. This not only enables secure room monitoring but also collaboration in applications with multidimensional movement, such as laser cutting or robotics.
The ETG (EtherCAT Technology Group) standard for FsoE communications is also implemented in the new generation.
This increases flexibility in selecting higher level safety controllers.
