InteliSENS® DG series precision laser scanning meters are designed for use in a variety of processes and applications. Measure Diameter, Multiple Diameters, Height, Width, Distance, Hot Products or Soft Products using a variety of fixtures and software applications. The InteliSENS DG series of meters can be used to measure moving products such as hoses, pipes, tubes, paper tubes, steel bars, wires and cables during the manufacturing process.

Additionally, the DG series of gauges can be used to measure discrete static or moving parts during quality inspection. InteliSENS DG Series Meters are Smart Sensors for use in your Industry 4.0 environment. Access all measurement and diagnostic data directly from a PLC, PC or Mobile Device using a wired or wireless connection.

Measurement principles

^{Proton Products InteliSENS ®} DG Series Diameters quickly scan the laser beam across the object to be measured. The laser beam is focused by a photodiode retracting lens, and the electrical signal is processed digitally by a Proton-designed FPGA processor. The amount of time that the object obscures the laser beam is proportional to the object's diameter.
