Introducing InteliSENS SLM-i4

Proton Products The InteliSENS SLM-i4 series non-contact, one-way speed and length meter provides extremely accurate length and speed measurements for applications in the metal industry. They are available with extended standoff distance and greater depth of field than standard InteliSENS SL series meters, allowing them to be used to measure very high temperature objects such as in hot rolling processes.

Applications requiring precision cut-to-length processes benefit from highly accurate, non-slip laser measuring techniques that reduce scrap, increase uptime and improve material yield by eliminating Remove “Giving” or “Short Length” product claims.

Focusing on connectivity, the SLM-i4 Smart Sensor with 32-bit communication comes pre-installed with Profibus, Profinet and Ethernet industrial protocols for your PLC connection. Modbus, OPC-UA, RS232, RS485 and WiFi complete the wide range of digital communications for your Industry 4.0 Solution.
