The ProTHERMIC PH series is a comprehensive line of High Frequency Induction Preheaters equipped with the latest advanced High Frequency solid state technology. The ProTHERMIC PH series is a comprehensive line of High Frequency Induction Preheaters equipped with the latest advanced High Frequency solid state technology. Preheating the wire is an essential operation to remove wire moisture, improve wire stripping properties, and avoid pin hole and bare patch defects.
The Proton InteliTHERM TM Spectral Radiation Non-Contact Wire Temperature Meter is available for use with new or existing preheaters. The Proton preheater is highly accurate in its preheating process, however, for some applications where temperature stability and accuracy are critical, the use of the InteliTHERM TM SRTG device is recommended. can further improve temperature stability. The InteliTHERM TM SRTG series connects directly to the preheater control module providing quick and precise temperature control and feedback. This makes operating the preheater as simple as setting the temperature and pressing a button.
Technology
The shortened pulley rim is manufactured from a special copper alloy with high electrical conductivity and good wear resistance.
The insulated pulley is manufactured from resin-bonded fabric with good abrasion resistance and low thermal conductivity which minimizes heat loss from the wire to the pulley.
The pulleys are mounted on low-friction double-row ball bearings to minimize drag (increase tension) on the rope as it passes through the preheater. Both pulleys are precision machined to ensure uniform tension is applied to the wire, thereby reducing SRL problems in data cabling and telecommunications applications.
The preheater is powered from a 3-phase mains input, which is converted to high frequency power by a specially designed inverter, its output is automatically adjusted to provide the required power to Maintains the required “Preset Temperature” regardless of wire size or production rate.
The preheater is completely protected against mains power failure or phase failure.
