Overview of DIN-A-MITE D Eurotherm controller

The DIN-A-MITE® D silicon controlled rectifier (SCR) power controller provides a versatile, inexpensive product for thermal control in an efficient package. This SCR controller is designed and manufactured with the quality features expected from Watlow. The back panel mounting conforms to the footprint of industry standard mercury displacement relays. No need to worry about mercury; DIN-A-MITE controllers do not contain mercury. The DIN-A-MITE Style D is capable of zero-crossing up to 100 single-phase amps, at 600VAC at 86°F (30°C), depending on the model selected. Two or three controllers used together can control three phases. It is completely safe to touch and includes standard back panel mounting, onboard semiconductor fuses (accessible from the front) and optional current transformer for external load current monitoring. Optional “SCR short circuit detector” feature is available on some models. This model is UL®508 listed and C-UL® and CE certified. These agency approvals are ideal for panel builders who require agency approval for their panels and cabinets. Variable time base, 4-20mA process control or VAC/VDC input contactor options are available. All configurations are dependent on model number and are factory selectable. This power controller also includes a 200KA short-circuit current rating (SCCR) tested at voltages up to 480VAC to prevent dome flashing when fuses are needed.
