Introduce
5550 / 5550G Mechanical Vibration Switches Metrix mechanical vibration switches provide vibration protection for low to medium speed machinery.
The inertia-sensitive mechanism activates a quick-action switch with SPDT output contacts if vibration exceeds an adjustable set point.
The contacts of the 5550 mechanical vibration switch can be used to activate an alarm or initiate shutdown of the device. The housing is weather-resistant with an optional hazardous area rating.
An electrical reset (remote) with start-up time delay and a second set of SPDT output contacts is available to accommodate DPDT needs (e.g., separate trip circuit and trip lamp circuit). The 5550G uses identical internal mechanisms but carries an IECEX rating ideal for IIC gas group applications.
