Introducing S412E LMR

Ideal for technicians and engineers involved in field RF performance testing of NBFM, P25, TETRA, NXDN, dPMR and LTE for public safety, critical infrastructure radio systems, maritime and trade

Land Mobile Radio Modulation Analyzers, Signal Generators, Spectrum Analyzers and Vector Network Analyzers

LMR Master S412E is Anritsu's second generation solution for public safety system installation and maintenance. Built on Anritsu's ninth generation handheld platform, this solution combines a high-performance spectrum analyzer/receiver with the world's most advanced handheld vector network analyzer (VNA). It also includes CW/P25 (Stage 1 & Stage 2), DMR (MotoTRBO™), TETRA, NXDN™ and PTC-ITCR plus analyzer and PTC-ACSES signal generator with externally adjustable power within 0 dBm to –130 dBm.

This device is ideal for land mobile radio (LMR) and professional mobile radio (PMR) technicians and engineers participating in field testing of NBFM, P25, P25 Phase 2 RF performance (TDMA), DMR (MotoTRBO), TETRA, NXDN, dPMR and FDD & TDD LTE for commercial radio systems, public safety, maritime and critical infrastructure.

It also provides support for the U.S. Passenger Rail Class 1 Active Train Control System, Interactive Train Control Radio (ITCR) and Advanced Civilian Speed Enforcement System (ACSES). For railway operators using the GSM-R system, the LMR Master can be configured with GSM/GPRS/EDGE measurements.

The base model is equipped with a VNA and spectrum analyzer, along with support for analysis and testing of narrowband FM radio systems including RSSI coverage mapping, SINAD transmitters and THD transmitters. Optional support available for digital land mobile radio standards including P25 (TIA-102.CAAA-C), P25 Phase 2 (TIA-102.CCAA), ETSI DMR Level 2 (MotoTRBO ), ETSI TETRA, NXDN, dPMR and PTC .

Optional GPS receiver enables support for coverage mapping (touchscreen tagged indoors, GPS tagged outdoors) of analog and digital land mobile radio systems. digital. It also provides options for over-the-air FDD-LTE analysis for broadband public safety systems and WiMAX (Fixed IEEE 802.16d and Mobile IEEE 802.16e) analysis for intersite transmission systems .

The device can also be equipped with a spectrum recorder, an InterferenceHunter™ MA2700A Handheld-enabled interference analyzer, a programmable channel scanner, and a high-accuracy external RF power meter (included). both end-to-end and in-line sensors), distance domain for cable analysis, and a vector voltmeter.

High performance 500 kHz to 1600 MHz VNA can be used to scan cables and antenna systems. To power tower mounted amplifiers, an internal bias tee is optionally available. Distance-to-fault measurements using frequency-domain reflectometry (FDR) are used to characterize the antenna system.

Distance-to-fault measurements can easily detect poor connections, contamination, damaged cables, and possible water penetration. Both the VNA and spectrum analyzer can be optionally expanded to cover up to 6 GHz. Patented RF interference cancellation allows for accurate, repeatable measurements in the presence of high levels of RF activity.

The LMR Master S412E's VNA provides excellent transmission dynamic range performance (>100 dB) that can be used to view and tune the RF performance of critical RF devices including filters, duplexers, transmitter combination, multi-receiver coupler and tower-mounted amplifier.

Measurements (in the frequency or time domain) are displayed and updated quickly with the S412E's fast scan rate of 850 μs/point. The display can be varied from 2 to 4001 data points, allowing for maximum customization flexibility. For users who prefer a more streamlined interface, the display can also be set to emulate Anritsu Site Master.

This solution has an excellent DANL of -152 dBm (RBW = 10 Hz, Atten = 0 dB, f < 2.4 GHz) combined with a third-order blocking level of +16 dBm. This makes the device ideal for identifying and locating low-level signals that can interfere with land mobile radio systems, even when powerful transmitters are nearby. The LMR Master S412E comes standard with industry-leading low phase noise (deviation < -100 dBc/Hz typical @ 10 kHz) allowing accurate measurement of NBFM, P25, NXDN and DMR emission masks.

Optional high-accuracy power meter provides true RMS measurements using external sensors, including inline sensors. This is the ideal solution for making precise measurements for both CW and modulated signals. Channel-by-channel power measurements can be performed using the internal power meter, and the channel scan option provides users with a convenient way to scan up to 20 channels.

The LMR Master S412E includes data analysis software, soft carrying case, rechargeable/field-replaceable battery, AC/DC power supply, 12V car cigarette lighter adapter, and comprehensive User Guide.

PIM Hunting mode is optimized for searching for external IM products in conjunction with the MW82119B PIM Master.
