Introducing MT9085

The ACCESS Master MT9085 series is a compact, handheld multifunction tester for performing optical pulse testing, optical loss/power measurement, and fiber end surface inspection. It has a variety of applications, from installing and maintaining (I&M) fiber trunks (Core, Metro, Mobile Fronthaul, Mobile Backhaul) to troubleshooting Access network problems, such as cable breaks.

In addition to retaining the intuitive operation of previous models using hard keys and knobs, the MT9085 has been upgraded with a large, 8-inch, color LCD touch screen. The Fiber Visualizer function has also been raised to the next stage with the ability to quickly confirm fiber optic transmission lines.

Optical Pulse Test (OTDR)

Optical pulse testing measures fiber transmission loss and fiber length as well as detecting events, such as interruptions in fiber continuity. Both single-mode and multi-mode fibers are supported, and the product line includes support for a variety of wavelengths to suit the measurement environment.

The easy-to-use Fiber Visualizer function uses two real-time scan types (high speed, high S/N) to check connection status and fiber curvature while monitoring waveforms; Events on the fiber are detected with high precision (46 dB maximum dynamic range, 0.8 m dead zone) and losses are measured. Excellent waveform quality supports short to long distance optical measurements, including PON and real-time measurements.
Measure optical power/loss

With an integrated light source and loss and power measurement functions, the all-in-one MT9085 series is ideal for confirming fiber optic installation status and fault status.
Check the fiber end face

Inspect the fiber end face using the optional external fiber scope (sold separately) to display the condition of the fiber end face on the display of the MT9085 main unit. Inspection of the fiber optic end face is very important because not only does dirt and scratches on the connector face have a great impact on the quality of fiber optic circuit transmission, but it also hinders accurate optical pulse inspection as well as measurement. optical loss and power.
